Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. Your attention to detail, knowledge of medical terminology, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our surgical team. Duties: - Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available - Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies - Maintain a sterile field by adhering to infection control protocols and using aseptic techniques - Monitor vital signs of patients during surgery and report any abnormalities to the surgical team - Collect and analyze data related to patient outcomes and surgical procedures - Maintain accurate medical records, documenting all procedures and interventions - Assist with patient transport within the hospital or ambulatory surgery center - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care - Adhere to safety standards and participate in ongoing training and professional development Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred - Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is strongly preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology, surgical procedures, and surgical instruments - Familiarity with various operating room systems and equipment - Ability to analyze situations and make quick decisions in critical care settings - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
