ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment? As our Shipping Lead, you'll be the engine behind our outbound operations — keeping the team motivated, shipments accurate, and the floor running smoothly. You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers while building a strong, safety-first culture on the warehouse floor.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates to hit daily productivity, accuracy, and safety targets• Own truck loading operations — verify order accuracy, packaging, and labeling through regular spot checks• Communicate scheduling updates and keep the team on track for on-time departures• Provide real-time coaching and problem-solving to maintain operational flow while managing overtime• Coordinate with Production, Shipping Clerk, Planner, and Expeditor to resolve issues and support seamless cross-team communication• Partner with the Shipping Clerk to ensure all documentation and truck information is accurately entered in SAP• Maintain complete shipping records: Bills of Lading, packing lists, tracking numbers, photos, and more• Drive continuous improvement — identify opportunities and bring ideas to management to boost efficiency• Execute end-of-shift close-out: securing doors, storing and charging forklifts, and keeping the area clean and organized• Serve as backup for the Shipping Clerk when needed• Operate all types of forklifts safely and proficiently
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• High school diploma or equivalent• 3+ years in logistics, distribution, 3PL, shipping, or warehouse operations• 3+ years of manufacturing experience (bedding products a plus)• 3+ years operating all types of forklifts• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for detail• Proven ability to prioritize time-sensitive tasks independently and as part of a collaborative team• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced Excel); SAP or other ERP/TMS experience is a strong plus• Ability to lift 75+ lbs. regularly and perform team lifts as needed• Commitment to wearing required PPE: safety glasses and safety vest

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an active, floor-based role in a warehouse environment. You can expect to:
• Spend the majority of your shift on your feet — standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely• Work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally around fumes or airborne particles• Lift, push, or carry items up to 50 lbs. occasionally; 75+ lbs. with team assistance regularly
